Living for Escapades

I love getting away as much as my job permits, which is not very often. I enjoy all kinds of travel, from brief excursions around East and West Sussex to long haul trips, which unfortunatelly I can make far less frequently.

In the section of Escapades I will be talking about short breaks, generally around the South of England.

I will write about short visits to places where you can easily travel to from London, Brighton, or anywhere in the SouthEast. I will also try to recall short breaks I enjoyed some time ago, like the one I made to Guernsey and the Channel Islands in 2014, which is one of my favorites.

If you want to tell the readers about a short break or your "secret places", please do contact me via the comments on any of the posts in the category of Escapades.

Short UK Breaks Trips Travel Guernsey - Sark.
This is La Coupée, a razor-edged isthmus that joins the main island of Sark to Little Sark. It is, in my opinion, the most spectacular sight in the whole of the Channel Islands.
In 1900 protective railings were erected. Until then, children crossing the isthmus had to crawl on their hands and knees to avoid being blown over the edge.
